Further details/Class descriptions What is "open level" - An open level class has something to offer most everyone. The class is paced to allow beginners to follow along while more complicated or advanced choices are offered for more advanced students. All are welcome. What is "Hatha flow"- Literally translated hatha is Ha= sun tha= moon- Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced style of yoga. Hatha means balance. We work on balancing the mind, body and spirit. Adding a flow brings more movement in between held postures. What is "gentle yoga" Yoga for relaxation. No inversions (head lower than the heart), no arm balances (great for those with wrist, elbow or shoulder issues). Class is taught at a slow relaxed pace, gentle yet effective stretching is done throughout. Great for beginners. What is "stretchy yoga"- A warm up of moving stretches/asanas that get deeper as class progresses. Classical hatha yoga poses are woven into sequences and are held in stillness after the body has been warmed up and stretched out. Good for strong beginners and beyond What is "Daharma Yoga"- The asana practice offers variations from beginner to more advanced poses resting the mind while moving trough meditation. Dharma Yoga improves flexibility and strengthens the body. What is "Kid's Yoga"- Exactly that! Yoga geared toward your 5-12 year old child. Our children's yoga classes offer a perfect combination of fun and learning in a non-competitive atmosphere. Children who practice yoga regularly often see an improvement in grades, have better self images and improved social interactions.
