Located within Rok Health & Fitness (on the 2nd floor) We are a separate (cooperative) business and No membership is necessary to take yoga classes Beginner students are welcome!
What do I wear to a yoga class? Comfortable yet fitted clothing, nothing too loose or restrictive. Yoga is done barefoot so plan on removing socks. Dress in layers (short sleeves under long sleeves) so that you may remove or put on a layer of clothing to stay comfortable before during and after practice. Its helpful to tie back or up long hair. Simple hair ties are best.
Can I eat right before class? Its best to practice without your digestive system at work. You need not be hungry but having a full stomach is unadvisable. A piece of fruit or a few crackers with a cup of tea should be fine 30 minutes before class. Anything more than that may make you uncomfortable.
What do I bring to class? Bring a yoga mat (if you have one), a bottle of water, cash (for class fee), and an open mind. Leave your worries outside!
Can I arrive late for class? For your safety, the safety and comfort of your fellow classmates and out of consideration for the others in the class as well as your teacher, arriving on time is a must. Everyone must be in the room, on their mat prior to scheduled class time. The door will be closed and locked once class has begun and there will be no late admittance. Please leave ample travel time, and a few extra minutes to park- take advantage of a few moments on your mat to relax before class begins. You will be happy you did!
Can I come to class with an injury? If you have sustained an injury, please check with your doctor or health care provider before coming to class. We are not doctors or medically trained and cannot give you healthcare advice. Common sense can help- if you cannot bend down, walk or are in acute pain coming to a yoga class is not a good idea.
Which Class should I take ? The general descriptions of the classes are listed at the bottom of the schedule page. A class that says open level welcomes students of all levels. Teachers modify poses and sequences to best suit the needs of the majority of the class. Please let your teacher know if you are new to yoga. Conversely if you have experience the teacher may offer you more challenging poses during class.
